Course Description |
PHARMACODYNAMICS DEALS WITH THE PRINCIPLES OF DRUG EFFECTS IN THE CELL AND IN THE BODY WITH AN EMPHASIS AT THE MOLECULAR LEVEL. THE COURSE ALSO COVERS FUNDAMENTAL CONCEPTS OF PHARMACOGENETICS AND PHARMACOKINETICS, INCLUDING DRUG EFFECTS ON NERVOUS SYSTEM, CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM, ENDOCRINE SYSTEM, RESPIRATORY SYSTEM AND GASTROINTESTINAL SYSTEM, IMMUNE SYSTEM AS WELL AS CHEMOTHERAPEUTIC AGENTS, ANTI-COAGULANTS AND ANTI-INFLAMMATORY DRUGS. THE UP-TO-DATE KNOWLEDGE AND DEVELOPMENT IN PHARMACOLOGY WILL BE INCLUDED FROM TIME TO TIME TO BROADEN THE STUDENTS’ VIEW ABOUT SCIENCE. |
